1964 Chevrolet Corvan

 

This is another example of these marvellous Chevrolet Corvairs, but this time the incredibly rare commercial variant. We believe that there are 2 other Corvans in the UK (and we think we know most UK Corvairs by now - but let us know if you have one!) but both the others are 6 door versions. This 8 door has the usual two front doors and the rear barn doors, but in addition has two barn doors on either side. We have painted the roof to high standards, but the rest of the van is in primer applied in the states. The van is very solid with no obvious rot. The engine is down on compression on one cylinder, but a new cylinder and piston are with the vehicle. This one is fitted with the 2.4 litre, flat 6 air cooled engine and 5 speed manual gearbox. This is the ultimate "Scooby Doo" van.
